The 3rd Annual Club Cup took place on Sunday the 19th of May 2019. The biggest year yet for the event that brings together alumni and current members for a day of racing.
Due to over 30 participants, this year saw not only the traditional mixed 8 race, but also a mixed quad race. Ergs – the usual method of torture for rowers – were used in a relay race between all the club couples. Previous club captains, our current captain (Conor Carmody) and next seasons captain (Kealan Mannix), all took part in a friendly 100m race.
Food was a-plenty in the barbeque following the morning events. Many thanks to our sponsors – Brady’s Ham of Kildare and O’Connell Butchers of Limerick – for helping feed the masses.
Big thank you to all past and present club members who took part. We’re all committed to the growth and progression of our club. Hope to see much more of you in the future.
Well done to everyone who organised such a good day! 😁 Next stop, Dublin Met!
